We choose grass fed and finished beef because its a protein packed powerhouse that's also is high in antioxidants and vitamins. While grass fed beef is leaner, it's full of a good fat called conjugated linoleum acid that has been shown to boost immune systems and aid in lowering inflammation. Using grass fed beef also helps eliminate common allergens from our products such as wheat and corn.

At Mission Meats, we strive to use ethically sourced meats. It’s important to us that the mid-western farmers we work with prioritize the health of the animals they are raising. We choose free range turkey because allowing animals to naturally graze results in a more nutrient dense meat. The meat in these snacks hasn’t been grown with artificial growth hormones that are transferred to food. Just another way we’re cutting the junk from meat snacks!

As we mentioned, we don’t want anything in our snacks that we didn’t put there with intention and that includes the use of antibiotics in our pork supply. By working with smaller, local farmers we can ensure that the pigs are not raised in over crowded environments where commercial use of antibiotics is normally found.
